About Me
Just another 90s kid that grew up in an amazing era that allowed for the full blossoming of the human spirit. We were strong as an economy and as a society; we were tough. We weren’t shielded from the harsh realities of the world. We were taught that not everyone is going to like you and that the world isn’t here to bend to your will. We were taught that bullies exist and were given the tools on how to deal with and overcome them. We were given an “F” when we failed and held back a grade to meet the standards of our education. We grew up around arts and entertainment that wasn’t obsessed with trying to indoctrinate us into a political world view.
You might be wondering what this has to do with my story and the answer is: everything. It’s who I am, the environment I grew up in that made me and it’s what drives me today.
I’m from Southern Ontario, Canada. I was born in Brampton, lived there for the first year of my life, and grew up in Oakville and Etobicoke (West Toronto). Currently I reside in Midtown Toronto and I’ve been here since 2014. My mom’s from Grenada in the Caribbean and my father’s from Lebanon in the Middle East. On my Mom’s side: My grandma, Thora Romain, came from Grenada to downtown Toronto in 1966 and raised four black children by herself. She worked 18 hour days for 20 years and bought 2 houses with no credit card.
My mother worked equally as hard as my grandmother - they are the reason why I have such respect for responsible hard working women and so little respect for others who sit around and complain about a so-called system stacked against them. When my mom and her 3 siblings came here and attended Bloor Collegiate they were 4 of the 6 black students in the entire school - my family knows a little something about what true racism looked like back then. It’s part of the reason why I know how far we’ve come and can’t stand everyone’s obsession with race today. These days it’s used as a tool of division and fear by ill intentioned politicians.
After some ups and downs, I made it out of my teenage years alive and I’ve been serving the public in healthcare as a patient care administrator since 2011. Throughout the 2010’s I was putting out music trying to make it as an artist. When Covid happened, I witnessed 1st hand from within the hospital system the gross incompetence of our provincial and national leaders. The information I had, such as the virus being airborne and not just droplet, could have saved lives, but we lost many because people would only listen to what the official health bodies were saying–which ended up being wrong on so many counts. If I had access to it, so did they. I saw deliberate misinformation from my government. In response, I started making videos and uploading them to YouTube on March 15th of 2020, I called the series “Covid Truth”.
At first, the videos were just to inform my friends, family and other social circles about helpful information on Covid that I came across. By the end of 2020, something strange happened–I started having my videos pulled by YouTube, and in the case of Vimeo, my channel was deleted altogether. This really enraged me because no one gets to silence my voice without taking me to war first–and the last time I checked, I was never taken to war. This confused me greatly and it was also happening to fellow citizens, doctors, and other professionals all around the world.
This was being done even when the information was fully backed up and accurate! Well, nothing disgusts me more than dirty dictators and filthy authoritarians especially when they don’t even have the guts to announce themselves as such. A new mission presented itself to me: enter “The Promain Show” right at the start of 2021. In it I now I covered world events instead of just Covid. Governments started with Covid and began moving in their true agenda - more control. I made it my mission to expose and touch on that agenda like so many other of my fellow citizens out there who have chosen to do the same.
In April of 2021 I moved The Promain Show to TikTok and started posting short-form content which went much further and was much easier to put together than the longer YouTube episodes that only a few hundred people would see. That’s when I started reaching a wider audience. I continued posting through 2021, but was never truly all-in because I was still working on music and continuing to work full time at the hospital.
During 2022, I faced several personal challenges one after the other, from losing a close family member, to being laid off at the hospital, to being diagnosed with a terminal illness, and going through the most painful physical and mental fight of my life. Through it all, I never lost my sense of humour and my positivity. Looking back on it now, it seemed those experiences were necessary to turn me into the person I am now who no longer fears death and is ready to take on any opposition with vigour.
My life was spared by God and it has allowed me to let go of anything holding me back before. Money means little to me now and what means everything is time and the path of highest purpose. I made the decision to stop working full time, I put away all my music equipment and went all-in on this path. It was a very difficult decision to make but I believe in order to be successful you must focus all of your energy into one thing and one thing alone - once you reach the top of that game you can move into another field.
On March 15th 2023 I returned and began posting again consistently. I’ve treated this as a full time job, and so far it was the best decision of my life. I’ve been able to make a difference in this fight for freedom thanks to the support and engagement of so many amazing people. After going viral several times and having multiple videos over a million views–I know now that this is where my talent lies and what I’m meant to be doing.
No social media platform can stop that or take those achievements away from me. My TikTok account was previously banned and maybe my Instagram will be banned as well one day–but whether it’s on X, Rumble, or any other freedom loving platform including even my own website here–I will continue to reach people according to whatever God’s will is. If you ever have trouble finding me, you can always find me here on my website. On social media platforms, it will always be “Promainshow”. Thank you!
